  • PLAYER 1 - Karmine Blackcloak

Long have I laid, trapped in this tomb of stone. Imprisoned here by my enemies in a conflict no longer remembered; confined alive and alone in utter blackness. I give up my majiks one by one to keep my sanity in tact, to keep myself alive. My body is enfeebled from its incarceration, but my mind still lives…

The blackness seems different now. Air moves across my face, the sound of tapping comes to me. Am I finally going mad…

Water is pressed to my lips, gentle words of comfort are spoken in my ear, I am rescued from my solitude. These people, these Dwarfs of the Underworld, will care for me and make me one of their own…

A Mage, yes, I am a Mage. But my memories are all but gone, my knowledge is dust upon the wind, I must learn again…

The UnderDwarfs have told me of the coming of Arragoth. They will not submit to HIS rule but would rather die opposing HIM. They have one problem, however, they have no Mages of their own to combat him. They have asked me to aid them, to help them remain free. I too have no wish to be bound by any being ever again. I have pledged to them all of my powers; I will lead them until freedom or death is ranted to us all.

With great ceremony, the Dwarfen Book of Grudges, the great tome that has chronicled all of the wrongs done to my adopted people, is destroyed, and a new Book of Grudges is created with a single entry: ARRAGOTH! Let all the peoples of the world know, the UnderDwarfs are committed to the destruction of this son of the Fire Gods, but, the Book of Grudges has may more pages…

Let our allies harken and our enemies quake at the sound of our battle cry:

    Chakka Droom! Chakka Cor!
    Dwarfen Axes! Dwarfen Might!

  • PLAYER 5 - Turgeon

After many years of living in peace, living with nature, and living with
    their
surroundings, the plainsmen with their new leader Turgeon must prepare for
    the
coming of Aragoth. They know he is powerful, and in order to survive his
    wrath,
alliances must be formed, magic must be researched, and a great military
    must
    be trained.
Turgeon, leader of the plainsmen has been elected for this task. His
wizardly skills along with his great knowledge of Military Theory will come
in handy. His diplomatic skills, although not as honed as the other skills
he possesses will be used to the utmost to help his people, and all people
in the Isles survive. It hasbeen far to long since the plainsmen were at
war, and without skilled warriors they will surely parish. What will become
of the Plainsmen without strong leadership?

How many other wizards will join with Turgeon? Will he be able to trust
them? The outside world is not known to the Plainsmen. First on the list
of tasks is to explore the surrounding territory and to forge alliances with
    surrounding leadersto secure his homeland.

He can only hope that other races in this realm will respect him, and join
him in this time of need.

  • PLAYER 6 - Avanash

The children of the jungle prepare for the end. I have been chosen from
among all of our people for my power in magic, I am Avanash. Arragoth
threatends all that my people have worked for and that will not be
allowed! We prepare to take the fight to Arragoth.

  • PLAYER 8 - Sorrow

For over five hundred years my people have existed as nature intended
them to, free and wild like the very elements of nature we embody. We
do not chain our hearts to one place but rather all the world is our
home and we travel in it, eyes wide in childlike wonder...and now the
darkness rises as night falls over the Isles. Never again shall we be
chained in slavery and though fiery death may claim us we shall die
free, screaming defiance unto the last.

On behalf of my people, of all peoples of the world, of Nature herself
who cries out in agony against the living death that is coming we
declare a holy war, a jihad, against our ancient enemy and his unholy
    legions.

Our ancestors cries echo down the aeons to us crying out for vengeance
against their tormentor, he who must never rise to see the dawn
    again...Arragoth.

And so I renounce all ties of kinship, of identity, of hearth and home
as I vow to lead our people into the heart of the coming darkness, may
    we see light again.

    I am Sorrow...

    For what was,

    For what is,

    For what is to come.

  • PLAYER 9 - Rincewind

    Greetings, traveller.

Welcome to the castle of the mighty wizard Lord Rincewind . Behold the splendor of Nazair, and find joy in finding true beauty at last. Let the world know that a new power has risen, and that is friendly yet harsh. Lord Rincewind is not a man to be trifled with.

Let me tell you some of myself. I come from a country far away, magically teleported here by my father, the great Archmage D'Ascunxion . I was senthere to unite this war-torn continent, and to bring peace and prosperity to all races in the realm of Isles of Arragoth. My means are primarily diplomacy, but I have been granted the right to use force if needed. I shall grant entry, with open arms, to any emissary that seek to enter my lands. Potential allies need not fear, but strive to make haste here and seek me out. I am hard but fair. Never cross me, if you wish to see tomorrow's daylight.

I am more than willing to trade, with all races and all leaders. Under dwarves, Dervish, High Elves, come to me and we shall make our trade a profitable one. I would be surprised if I cannot offer you something.

Let the world know I am here.

Only in harmony we shall prosper .

    - Lord Rincewind -

    Gnomish People of Farawayfromorl

    • Farawayfromorl
Verdant capital of the gnomes. Situated on a plains regions this capital is growing and growing. This article covers stories from people living in Farawayfromorl.
    • Holbol The Joker
Ha! Ho! Farawayfromorl - the place where IT happens! Ha! Me seen as cities fool. I entertain people. Me can be found in local inn. Me English not good - me better at gnomish - Holsi bakcu Saliman. Me understands you foreigner does not understand beautiful language, tagitar jano irgit! If you want me to see me telling jokes and stories come visiting inn. It is in green grove lane, house 4 from the right. My favourite stories are the tales of: "Myranda and the stone trolls", Lepelus and his encounter with Ghasthur the Lava Legion that could talk" and of course, ha! my favourite this is indeed: Papida and his flying machine! Papida was the first gnome able to fly. Engineers of Orl workshop still finding out how machine worked. Ha! Why some gnomes very smart, others stupid as a dog, hahaha! Hope to see you one day.
    • Galilurpadax
Hello? Sorry I am not very familiar with this kind of communication. I can usually be found talking with the beasts. I am Galilurpadax the sage, call me Galil if you think my name is too long. I have been thinking for whole my life, and I can see things normal gnomes can't. Most people think I am a strange crazy fool, but I am definately not. I am intelligent, bright and a rural person. I just don't like crowds or other places where people are. If you visit the city once then don't be scared by me. I don't wash myself not very often but my feet is not that hairy. Just don't come near.
    • Visaila
Hello friend. I am Visaila. I am the wife of farmer Jackon. We have two kiddies and my and my husband are working on the fields every day. We return at night to talk with the fellow gnomes of Farawayfromorl. Or sometimes we go to the local inn to drink something and listen to Holbol the entertainer. Anyway, the life here in the town is very amusing, and many strange people from the outside world come settle in our lovely town. There aren't many people. There is one central lane - green grove lane it is called I believe. The rest of the town is small houses made of mud and bricks. The roofs are made of cow leather and feathers. There are never argues or fights in the towns - most people are working on the fields, or building houses or buildings on behalf of our wizard Krondak. Just outside our town is the castle of Krondak. Krondak doesn't reside there very often since we don't have much enemies - only Arragoth and his lava legions but they are far away. As our name also says: farawayfromorl. Any visitor is welcome in our lovely town.

    Please come visit Farawayfromorl

    Send a messenger to Farawayfromorl

  • PLAYER 11 - Thorin

Long have I delayed putting my pen to the parchment, describing my mission in
this world - more urgent matters concerning the immediate survival of my people
against the foul minions of Arragoth have taken up all of my time. But now, in
a moment of quiet, I have finally found some time to tell a little about myself
    and about my people.

I am Thorin, leader of the hill dwarves encampment in the forbidding swamps of
Camp Jollymount. Wizardry is not a trait particular to dwarves, which must be
the reason why even my own very limited knowledge of magick arts sufficed to
make me the most suitable leader (or, at the very least, the least unsuitable
one) to defend our people against Arragoth's dark schemes.

    So, here I am...

    [deep thoughts...]

Now, where was I? Oh yes, I was telling you about our people the hill dwarves
and our role in fighting Arragoth's foul legions, errhm... lava minions, ahh..
    LAVA LEGIONS, I mean...

Our role is but a minor one, but in this monumental struggle all roles, however
minor, are of great importance. Any wizard putting higher priority to his own
glory (vainglory I daresay) than to defending our beloved world against the
monstrosities of Arragoth would surely be considered an idiot even by the most
slow-witted of the races on this world, the orcs.

Fortunately, this world seems to be governed mostly by wize wisards, ahem...
    wise wizards, I mean...

Now where was I? Oh yes, many of the races on our islands have all but buried
old suspicions and enmities towards each other, and joined a grand alliance
with the sole purpose of ridding this world of Arragoth and his minions. In
this honorable quest also we, the hill dwarves of Camp Jollymount, play a minor
    part.

The fighting still goes on, but during the last months our combined forces have
successfully driven Arragoth back on several fronts, thereby greatly raising
the morale of our peoples - we have shown that even a fully awakened Arragoth
    is not invincible.

Many a battle still remains to be fought, that is beyond doubt, but for the
first time in 21 months I can now allow myself the luxury of thinking about the
day after tomorrow, not only about our immediate survival of tomorrow's battle.

We have travelled a long way together. However long the remaining journey might
ever be, I am now convinced we have a fighting chance to reach the end of that
    journey - together!

    [deep thoughts...]

Now, where was I? Oh yes, together!

  • PLAYER 12 - Yorl

    Can you smell it?
    Can you feel it?
    It is coming!
The rising of Arragoth has started!
The people of Nightscar are getting ready but they know it can not be done
alone. They are looking for others that are strong of strength and
character, as only the strong will survive Arragoth. If you fit this call
then send a message to Yorl, High Ruler of
    Nightscar.
Hurry, before it is to late!
