Greetings all... The Nightscar Orcs wish to offer their congratulations to each of you for the successful return to Arragoth, and for the promise of future conquests. The demon has been in hibernation for some time now, but hopefully we together shall be able to overcome. My name is Elyas, and I am the leader of the orcs in our underworld island. How I came to be ruler of such a people is quite a story indeed -- for you see I am merely half-orc. Brutal races like the orcs are not normally known for their acceptance of those who are not fully like them, and in fact are known for little else than savagery, and their fondness for rape and pillage. I for one assure you they are not always like that, and do happen to have a compassionate side when given a chance -- but I would not seek such, as it is a trait seldom shown to any but other orcs. Unlike most of my people, I have been highly educated under the tutelage of a very fine half-elf by the name of Karonisis Valerinost -- you could say he sort of took me under his wing as a small child, as he could see we had much in common, he and I. You see, he too was a bastard child -- a product of an illegitimate birth, that shames us to our death. But like most things in life, the only way to continue is to live with acceptance...and so I have. The orcs understand me to be their ruler because they live in constant fear of me -- sometimes I think there is no other way to truly remain in power. The how and why of that fear is a story few know, and fewer still will live to tell another, but let it suffice to say I retain control of all important facets of government among my people, and leave the more -- enjoyable, perhaps -- tasks to my cousins on the battlefield. Knowledge is power, and in alliance is peace. I tend to stand by that a lot, and while trust is quite hard to earn with a night dweller, it is not impossible. I would offer a chance to each and every one of you to ally now with the orcs, soon to be supreme rulers of Arragoth -- you may call it a request, but know that refusal to be an ally means you are an enemy by default. Pretending to be our ally, or worse, remaining ignorant to our power is a sure way to meet a swift and untimely death -- one that I'm quite sure would rival that which Arraoth has in mind for us all upon his awakening.
