  • PLAYER 1 - Talon Nighthawk

Blackrock - City of the Underdwarves. For centuries we have lived and
toiled in this rock but now things much change. Our troops have been sent
out to protect the outlying Shires from possible invading forces. Rumours
persist of the return of Arragoth. The Underdwarves prepare themselves for
    battle.

Talon Nighthawk, leader of the Underdwarves looked out from his tower
window, below the city was alive with his subjects readying for the struggle
to come. The reports from the patrols were good, so far no invading armies
had dared to try there metal against good dwarven steel. The reports from
the mines were even better, Gems and Mithril had been discovered. These
much desired items would be valuable for trading with the other nations.
But any that came to take rather than trade were in for a nasty surprise.

Talon re-read the messages received, offers of alliance and friendship, good
signs to be sure. But, these were outsiders and should be treated
carefully, any sign of weakness and these "allies" would no doubt soon turn
into enemies. Only from a position of strength can the Underdwarves hope to
    survive the coming storm.

A knock occurred at the door, Talon turned and spoke "Come", the door
opened. A elderly dwarf entered. "My lord the Mercenary Captain is here as
you requested". "Ah, yes show him in", Talon replied, yes anyone attacking
Blackrock would be in for a nasty surprise indeed.

Declaration by Strifirac, wizard of the Minotaur Empire.

The Minotaur of Bulls Canyon have sworn an oath to destroy the ultimate
    evil "Aragoth".
Anyone who will join us in our quest will respectfully be treated as
    allies.
Honour and trust will have to be earned on the battlefield.

As our armies are spreading, the lands surrounding our capital have
already shown their goodwill and are supporting us with food and gold.
The Minotaur will not accept any resistance in their search for Aragoth.
Every race that is blocking our way will be attacked and if necessary
    enslaved.

  • PLAYER 7 - Darius Oakheart

The first rays of the morning sun filtered down through the canopy of leaves.
A new and glorious day was dawning for Darius Oakheart and the elves of the
forest, the High Elves. Though they had seen their status diminish in recent
times thanks to Arragoth and his servants, the elves would soon regain their
    'high' status.

Darius projected a regal bearing. After all, he was the grandson of the
Great Willow, the noble king who had led the High Elves prior to the times of
Arragoth. As the shadows in the city slipped away in the presence of the
rays of the sun, so too would Arragoth's grip slip from the elves, and then
    they would strike.

The spirits of the earth and trees were all around the elves. If they could
harness the power of those spirits, they could stand firm against the evil
lord of the pit. Darius knew that, at some point, the elves might need
assistance from some of the other races so, he was sending emissaries in
every direction, soliciting aid against Arragoth.

  • PLAYER 12 - Nighthawk

Greetings fellow wizards from the depths of the
underworld. The Orcs extend their humblest apologies
that you poor, unfortunate creatures are unable to
experience life as an Orc. Indeed many of you fools
will never experience the heights of what the dark
side has to offer. Well you will learn....while you
are working away at our mines....so farewell for now
fellow wizards, and remember, you can never vanquish
    the dark side......
