The humid air blasted Drouth in the face as he looked out the window = of his castle bedroom. Looking across the horizon, he could envision = the volcano at it's center, even though it was leagues away. Many sleepless nights has Drouth stared out the window, wondering = what horrors would pour forth from it in the coming years. Aye, the = prophecy of Arragoth has tortured his soul for ages, a toture that has increased tenfold since his coronation last month.
He was greatly flattered at the Amazon's acceptance of his acent to = the throne. For a people so beautiful, and yet so tempermental, to = accept an outsider's leadership was a testiment to his diplomacy. This = diplomacy would definately be tested in the coming year, as the = prophetic return of the fire god loomed closer. =20
The panic was rising in the city. The sacrifices to the fire god = increased as the prophecy loomed closer. The Amazons' faith was = endearing, but, at times it could be horrifying. Especially since = Drouth knew that it would do no good. The volcano would once again come = to life.
=20Strolling over to his map of the currently tiny kingdom of the = Varossa pennisula, Drouth mulled over his plan. The shires would come = easy, Drouth thought to himself. They are ready for a true leader. The = Amazons proved as much. But, what lies beyond is what is key, and also = unknown. Surely, there was another ruler out there that shared his = fears. Would they unite to face the prophecy, or was he opening his people to more danger than they were ready for?
