Martha! The cry yelled through the wizard’s tower, echoed off bright-painted walls, propagated its path down a narrow stairway, was heard in several secret passageways that originated in the narrow stairway -–one of which was not even known to the person that yelled, Master Wizard Vater. "Martha! Come up! The boy is gone!" the wizard screamed again. Standing in the entrance to a chamber in the fourth floor of his tower, he overlooked the playing room of his son. Teddy bear innards were spread deliberately over the floor, the bed, the table, even the walls. Even given that the boy had obviously massacred all his nine teddy bears, it stroke Vater how much ... stuff ... there is inside a teddy bear. Not that the wool mattered much in the general chaos that was the typical look of the boys chamber. In fact, there was nearly nothing that was situated where it was supposed to be, not even the bed. Vater had searched the whole chamber carefully and had even invested a SenseLife spell (which he had acquired from a merchant that had given him coupons that would offer a ten percent discount for three other spells, RemoveDust, NiceMusic and ConsolidateDebt; however the SenseLife had been of poor quality and had leaked wild magic even on the first day he had used it, and the wild magic had somehow spilled over Marthas carefully tidied living room floor and had caused several animal-shaped holes in the floor which he considered nice but Martha had cast a powerful curse on the merchant who was killed by it as a consequence and therefore he had never had a chance to save his 10% on the ConsolidateDebt spell). He sighed. Martha appeared, clad in iron like a Valkyrie, a staff in her hand. Her cheeks were burning red and she was still shivering with rage. "I will tell you what, Mister Father-of-a-son-that is only a thing, I say, a nail in the coffin of my life, that is what he is. I had his room tidied up and it took me the whole day and I let him in just to finish a conservation with my sister" – she glanced at him with her "dont dare to say anything about my sister!" look, but he knew better than to interrupt her – "and when I came back I saw... this. She pointed to the mess in the room. "Serena had told me about the Amazons she had discovered, the leaderless tribe. Amazons! When I saw this room, I decided to teach your son a lesson! I magically sent him to the tribe of the Amazons. He knows some magic, he can manage alone. And he will see that living a life of pure chaos leads to.. to... Chaos!" she snorted. "And dont you tell me I should not have done it. You are not taking your responsibility as a father as serious as you should, no you aren’t. I have taken over and we will see how well your son Lecostarius will manage amongst REAL chaos. Hrmpf!" She left the room. Vater turned to the mess in the room. His only son. No point to ask Martha to channel him back, not until whe would calm down again. His head ached. How would Lecostarius, aged only ten, yet already a good spellcaster, fare amongst the feared Amazons?

VISIONS OF THE PAST/PRESENT He that has awakened me felt my wrath, albeit misdirected and now lies in our deepest catacombs. But it has become evident that much has changed in Andoria since my meditation began many years. The strong and vast empire of Mitiya has been reduced to it's bare limits of the outer city by the marauding forces of old enemies and new beings which my advisors fear too much. The city has been pillaged of most buildings and all treasures taken away from our Halls and my people cower in fear of return of these evil forces to the seas. Only the well concealed antichamber of my inner sanctum saved me from perhaps not awakening again. So it is now I vow to once again restore the city of Mitiya to the great empire it once was, both feared and respected thoughout the lands of the Andoria. All those that were responsible for pillaging my empire shall be brought before me on their knees to swear alliegence and be bound to my servitude forever. And yet there are tales of other people's, my former allies, who also suffered too in these times. I pass my offering of peace and alliances to these people's so that we may combine to bring about peace and prosperity in thses lands again. I have long memories of the deeds of others so they too shall not go unpunished. |
The Prophecies Many times has it been told of the years of peace in the Age of Legends, when the Great and Just (the "Great One") ruled all the lands of all the worlds known. His realm reached into the land of dreams and shadows from where he was able to hold the future in his hands too. It was from here that he sowed the seeds of the lands of Pendrake forever in the bloodlines of Gua Clan, his chosen race for the worlds of seas. It has been told that in the heart of the lands to the east has been placed a great obelisk of solid gold that has inscribed on it in a language now long forgotten of the true path. He who is able to seek out and decifer this text shall rule over this world for his lifetime and that of his living heirs. But this is not a simple task for a would be pretender to the crown as this is the only place that this language is written and its meaning will only be revealed to those whose blood is true. And so it shall pass that in the third cycle of the moon the mighty shall ascend upon the world to hold all to account for their deeds of the past, and unleash the evilbreed of Gua and their cousins onto those whom have not held onto the true path of the spirit of the last world. All the who wish not to fall prey to the true path shall prepare to meet thy master and be willing to submit to his decrees. So it is told. So it shall be. . (Author Unknown) |
The Darkness of Below A New Darkness has
began to sweep the islands of Andoria as the echos are heard from afar for all beings of like mind to join the ranks of
their true master's minions. The urge within me seems undeniable although I know it to be wrong and against the elements.<
/P>
But how am I to fight what has been ordained, to restore justice to the world which was taken by the evil? My path seems
to be moulded in rock already so there is little hope for pity to those who may come to me in the age to come. A sad lose
of life I'm afraid. A pity. Already the world has opened up around me, providing the resources to to meet my needs and my old brothers have arrived
on my doorsteps. They have been welcomed with the open arms that they deserve but there seems to be silence in part as well
as echoes through the forests of new paths opened. The desires of old now pervade our small settlement and seem to
encourage the formation of minor cults to meet their needs. And yet I must admire their stoic resolve in their belief of
the prophecies. All that is sure is that those who have been chosen by the "Great One" to join me on my path to doom or glory have
accepted their paths with true resolve that shall be equalled by my own. And yet I must feel for those mortals whom dwell near our realms as they are sure to fall under the true spell all to
soon for their leaders. May those who fall be returned to live their next life under the true path. |

Welcome all yee who seek knowledge... It has been a long time since I, Mitsushi the Eigth, have walked the lands of "It was the age of darkness, when I first faced the harsh icy winds of Andoria. With many faces I have been dealing with the forces of evil and destruction ruling all of the lands and worlds that are known. All laws of nature seemed to have been broken and powers of magic somehow diminished. During these times, dark forces have opposed me and my allies and yet forever I'm being forwarned of the approaching armies of the Dark Ones minions. It was believed that these were manifestations from the bodies of the great evil dark leader, yet he remains unknown in body or name to those who inhabited past lands. Many peoples were lost in those days, with total races being lost to the marauding forces of evil and becoming known only in folklore. Many of our close allies were lost in those days too, slain with their whole kinfolk in merciless battles, which were inevitably finished only with no life remaining. It seemed that the total destruction of all life was the goal of these shadowy beings. I survived solely by using my unique knowledge. It was only by keeping mobile I we able to endure these years. It seem that all effort was spent my destruction. For it is told in visions and dreams, on a long forgotten barren and devastated island, that strange events were to pass and to surprise most who had presumed me body to the forces of evil. And so begins the Third Age of the Wizards. I> In time, as knowledge is gained, apprentices become skilled, and vital magical gem sources are collected, our people shall soon gain the power to hold the forces of evil at bay. Then in time, as our ally races make equal gains in power, evil will be pushed back further and the world returned to normal. Many famous tales of heroic and brave deeds will be told of these glory years. This will not just be a short respite. We shall ensure that as time revolves, the peaceful races shall prosper and continue for many more generations. Dear Seeker of Knowledge... we honor our goal, but our task is perhaps beyond to take upon himself totally at this time, having lost so many trusted advisors. And so we have established several bodies or "pillars" to aid our duties. These are the "Red Pillars of War, Temple of Gold Pillars and Green Pillars of Growth." And herewith follow of basics of these Pillars. |

Ah, this makes me angry, even if it's Leco, my ally and best friend who said it. Why are males always that arrogant! 'We call out the age of Queens!' Is it up to him to call out that it's my reign now? Do I care whether it's the age of Queens? Let it be the age of kings, I don't mind as long as I have got a realm OF MY OWN. Why the hell does Leco talk about history, justice and demographic situation? Was it history, justice or the demographic situation in my realm which gave my position to me? Every male gnome in Neabudara will laugh about this. But they don't laugh about REAL POWER. They don't laugh if the candidates they supported are accused of treachery and fall to a newly invented KillGnomotine, to a poison disguised as perfume, or to those weapons said to be typical female ones. No female gnome will appraise my raise to power, as it means war, and which woman ever applauded to her sons being forced to become soldiers, the bakery around the corner being destroyed during a fight for the town, her parents dying during the battle, mean dark creatures apprearing in the skies and all her brooms being misused to build new flying machines (gnomes learnt this trick from witches, for those who don't know well gnomish history, and better believe in it, as it works!). So Leco, well said, a very honourable theoretical idea to base a reign upon the people and their will, but not made for this world. There's no need for justification of real power than power itself. The will of the people is irrelevant, on the contrary, it is contraproductive. The people's will is peace, and how do you ever want a state to grow and to prosper without war? Did you hear about the gnomish tribe who tried to win new land by taking it from the sea, building huge dikes against the floods? You didn't? Well, you see, they were too busy with their peaceful stupid occupation to survive the invasion of their neighbour tribe into their land. One example out of many, you should know them as you seem to have studied history - you even know Queen Whythehelldoyouexperimentalldayandwecarethechildren. By the while, she died when her son's newly developed missile-launcher exploding , it was declared to have been an accident. Should she have cared more for the children or rather limited the male addiction for experiments and sent them to war more often? And what did you say - is it indeed a drastical reform that now a gnomish tribe is led by a queen? Oh no, why don't you acknowledge what everybody knows, but never admits? Do you know this saying: 'Behind each strong man stands a strong woman'? I know these strong gnomish women standing behind the strong men of the gnomish empires, I was one of them until three months ago when my friends and I decided to take the power from this completely incapable leader of our tribe, Lord WhythehelldonttheyobeyatoncewhenIkindlyaskthemtodosomething? His end was unspectacular and discipline increased significantly since that day within my tribe. Gnomish women form circles, they get information the leader of every secret service only can dream of, they have more possibilities to influence the government than any minister, the civil servents try to guess their wishes in advance, and their protégés never get judged by any tribunal. Their inventions aren't spectacular, but mostly small, mean and effective. And people know nothing of them but their smiling pretty face. Have a closer look at them next time! It might be worth it. What do you think is behind this pretty mask? Take care not to lose your throne, all these women are just one step away from power and I might be an attractive model for their future career. Of course standing in the light means a minor risk...but women are known to be careful and far-sighted beings, they will minimize every risk. I myself are supported by my friends now who serve me as wise advisors and let me profit of our network, and their husbands, the mightiest men of Neabudara, are well under control, too. So my basis of power is stronger than every king's power in Andoria ever has been. I am very curious how the empires of my male colleagues will develop, I already gave my dear ally Lecostarius some hints how to control and use these conspiratory circles of gnomish women, and if you still see him alive at the end of this tournament, my advice either was good or my example wasn't attractive enough for these women who only will take over power openly if it gives them more advantages than acting behind the stage. But Leco has good chances to survive, as I will support him, too, and he mostly is able to interact with women very well. But I hope of course that Leco's prophecy will come true that either my foes will lose their jobs - and their heads? - to inner fights, or that they will accept me as their queen, as the first queen of the unified gnomish empire of Andoria.
