Moustar
The day of Judgement

    Jehane's Memories

The major chambelan entered my personal room.

The mighty emperor Belvince requires you at the amethyst chamber, just at dawn.   His imperial majesty would greatly appreciate if you wear your best garments for this is a special occasion.

This was his usual way to call me upon his bed. I understood that hint of special occasion as a possible expensive gift. So I didn't perceived it was the last time we would spend together. The night was so perfect... We made love so wild first and so sweet later, I didn't notice there was no jewel or silk clothes. Now, when I recall that night, I remember his eyes had a different expression. Then, I only drank his skin.

The wind awaked me and Belvince was not at my side. A strong light was streaming through the window and the amethyst walls of the room shined giving back a beautiful range of colours. I stepped to the balcony and felt the cold floor under my feet; the night was too cold for this season. Once outside, the spectacle was marvellous. The pyramid of power was glimmering at times as heart beatings. But the implications of this were too terrifying to handle. Belvince was invoking the ultimate spell, the Fury of the Gods, the Armageddon. The sky changed to a dark red tone and in the ecstasy
of the spell the energy freed pushed me against the wall so strongly that I fell unconscious.

When recovering my senses, I felt a hand caressing my face and, thinking it was Belvince and all I had seen just a nightmare, smiled and kissed that beloved hand.

 He's gone.

Quickly I opened wide my eyes and looked at the figure of the Empress Yasmine in front of me. I got scared and even more when she burst out a wild laughing. Then turned around and while leaving the room said:

I'm afraid you'll have to leave the desert very soon.

All princes and princesses were called to Moustar. Abderraman had to be crowned as the new Emperor and all the victorious allies were present at the ceremony. There were the rulers of the neighbour desert nations: Gwyndren of Cazil and Saddam of Galnai. Lord Mandatar of Farrow Banks stood as an impressive man and his wife the princess Mara, daughter of Belvince, was even more beautiful than I had imagined. Immediately I felt attracted towards Mandatar, glanced at him very suggestive and knew that he was enjoying my attention. Then he stepped to me.

So you are the famous Jehane. Indeed you are worth of a whole kingdom.
Don't speak nonsense. I don't think you would give up your empire to be with me.

Then he drew a so attractive smile, I felt melting. But the major chambelan interrupted our flirting and said I was required by the mighty emperor Abderraman at his private room. I got a little upset, because my progresses were being spoiled, but also intrigued. Abderraman was known to be very fond of his wife and I could hardly imagine he was requiring my special services. When I got into the room, he wore a serious face. Then, handed me a sheet of paper.

This is for you, from my father.

Tonight I feel nervous and can not sleep well. Quietly I have unfolded my body from the arms of the man and have stepped out of the room. I live in a palace of pale blue ivory and the morning light reflects in the surface. The fountains of the garden seem to offer tender songs to the new day. Certainly, the isle were I live is a paradise, very different from the deserts of Moustar. I still feel strange with the knowledge that all this wonders belong to me. With a smile, I caress the hair of the child I am holding in my arms. He is only six years old, but is very clever for his age. Although sometimes seems to be absent with deep thoughts. I look at his slept face and a silent tear runs through my chin. In my hand, a sheet of paper with the words:

This paradise is for you and our son.

Farrow Banks
The day of Judgement

----------

    Keron looks back

It happened in year 4 of the great wars of Varlania

Mandatar was walking around in his studying room, occupied in deep
thoughts of
exploration of the latest magic areas. He and his wife (daughter of Emperor
Belvinve of the Sandpeople) had just come back from a diplomatic mission in
one
of the far away minions of the ever growing Halfling Kingdom.

Then there was a flash of light. Suddenly Mandatar was filled with a
consumption of raw magic. It was as if the entire world was filled with flows
of magic, as if a spell of great power was being cast. Not soon after that
moment the earth began to tremble and the town was shaking on its foundation.
Mandatar knew what had happened. Belvince had put an end to the suffering of
the people under Mordrak, who had neglected his people by abandoning them in
the middle of a war. This could not be tolerated any longer, but Mandatar had
been unable to to anything yet. No the war was over and peace could rule
again.

The other day a messenger arrived at the gates of Farrow Banks. He had come
riding from the nearest borders with Emperor Belvince riding of one of the
fast
plainsmen wolves. He carried a letter for Mandatar and his wife, with an
invitation to celebrate vicoty and peace over Varlania in the castle of
Moustar.

A few hours later Mandatar and a small company left the town heading for
Moustar. This was the beginning of a long and peacefull period in the history.

    Keron,
    Happy Halfling
