"Arragoth lives!??" The cries went up from around the camp as news of the destruction caused by his minions spread. Gallahorn the brave, Gallahorn the fearless ranger who had successfully rid a region of a plague of giant scorpions, had been crushed, along with his army, by a host of lava legions. The people were in a panic. Times like these are what truly test the mettle of a great leader, and Oracle intended to lead his people to victory over Arragoth and his despicable cronies. "Brothers," he cried from a stone platform, "these setbacks are temporary. Even as I speak, some of our fiercest warriors converge on the domain of Arragoth and his pathetic stooges. Lava flows down from the highest point to the lowest, am I right?" He scanned the assembled host for a minute before continuing. "We shall lead the very legions that threaten our borders right into the domain of Cool Wizard. Let him fight the battle against Arragoth. We shall soon take new lands and our bounty shall increase." The hordes of gnomes still seemed restless. "Rest assured, my friends, that our ally, Fluffy, leads a great host against Arragoth as well. While Arragoth may be strong, his minions cannot stand up to our numbers or our cause. Good shall triumph over evil." The assemblage roared with approval. "Any news of Aeneas?", asked one of the advisors. "Our old ally is still strangely silent.", said Oracle. "If he struggles against Arragoth as we do, then he cannot send a large force against us." "My lord," the master builder said as he strode into Oracle's tent, "construction of the new fortifications is coming along well. Soon, our people will have a bulwark of strength within this very realm." "Yes, we shall need it soon.", said the old leader. He thought, "Hopefully, not too soon."
Fluffy mulled about the tower late that night and pondered how to stop the hordes of lava legions. He has reports that masses of lava legions had emerged from the volcanic region and aragoth himself sent them to pave the way for his emergence from a long sleep. Fluffy knew that mere common troops seemed to have little or no affect against the lava legion hordes. The top generals were summoned to find a new strategy to deal with this new warfare. One general gave a report that the army is incresing in size that will soon bee 3 times what the lava legions are numbering. He felt confident that with increase resource usage for higher quality spearmen and other high quality troops that we atleast have a chance instead of a total route like the first encounter. The general assured fluffy that the field commander that was responsible for the loss in the first battle was not executed, but merely put in charge of supply in the rear. The economic advisor told fluffy that "we could sustain a military buildup for atleast a few years as we have once again initiated an expanse in our lands and thus the tax base has increased". The advisor also warning against raising taxes. He said that taxing a population to the maximum should only be undertaken in dire emergencies. We are fine with the income influx for now ,...then he sat down for the next advisors turn. The resource advisor had a confident yet concerned look on his face. He cleared his throat and begin to speak. "I feel our resources are sufficient for the military buildup and the food reserves remain high. We are able to switch the production fairly easily despite the wars in the regions. With our new expansion possibilities we are in better than average position ...then he sat down.. Fluffy stood and began to speak... "Here is where we have our enemies by the nose..and now we are going to kick them in the butt. I am ordering further increased output in all areas. Taxes will remain the same, and i shall initiate an attack all along the front. We simply cannot sit and wait for the battle to come to us we must meet it head on. Alot of brave soldiers will die...i expect that, and you should prepare the other field commanders for that as well. I am confident this season shall show us turning the tide on the lava legions and our vast army is converging to contain these vial creatures...we will outnumber them 10-1 with my policy... our army shall be the largest in the world.. Fluffy exited the room as the generals and advisors saluted...
