War of Wizards - Mapping Tools.

Tool 1 - Description

A base map that has been drawn for use by players who would like to do their planning by hand using paper maps. An autocad file has been drawn with a region/shire based layout that has been rotated 45 degrees. To get familiar with the map, the layout has had the top left hand corner region labelled. The file has been included below as a bitmap and as an auotcad file.

The file can be download as a simple gif image and then printed out. Invert the image colours and the print out. To download the image. Just right mouse click on the image below and click save as or the equivalent for your browser. So view actual size left mouse click on the image.

But please always keep in mind that it is just a utility from one WoW player for another.

I hope you enjoy it ;-)

Tool 2 - Description

The archive below contains a file called blankwowmap.ppt it is a Powerpoint 97 format file with two slides. The first slide is the map itself containing 81 regions in a nine by nine grid. Each region is an autoshape that can be filled, copied, moved and commented. The map contains a legend and a label. As the map slide consists of autoshapes, it may be easily resized and regions may be added or deleted at will. The second slide is a table showing how the map legend was constructed to aid players in formatting autoshapes to indicate terrain on their maps.

The second file, blankwowmap.jpg is a .JPG version of the first slide of the Powerpoint presentation. It is included for those players who lack the capability to edit Powerpoint presentations. It is seen below.
